Allyn river Permaculture Farm was pleased to participate in the Permaculture Hunter Region area of the National Permaculture Day on 1st May 2010.
Although most of our advertising was running late we had 32 peaple visit the farm, it was enough to keep Peter running and talking for about 4hrs, it was great to have an enthusiastic audience.
It was also interesting that most visitors were from the local area, which helps to reinforce the purpose of our farm.
Although this was only the second NPD (first in the Hunter) the general attendance at all events was outstanding, one open garden in Mayfield had 120 visitors.
This years success should ensure a bigger and better event in future years, make sure its in your diary for 2011.
We are planning additional functions and open days during 2011. we will publish details as soon as confirmed.
